Features

Resilient Design for Business Continuity

Designed with high availability in mind, the PowerStore 1200T offers active/active architecture, ensuring continuous uptime for mission-critical workloads. With native synchronous/asynchronous replication, including Metro Volume replication with 3rd-site witness support, your data is always protected and available. Additionally, its dual-redundant power supplies, IO modules, and NVRAM cache ensure business continuity even in the event of hardware failure, giving you peace of mind with comprehensive disaster recovery capabilities.

Intelligent Automation & Management

The PowerStore 1200T simplifies storage management with built-in intelligent automation. Using PowerStore Manager, CloudIQ, and REST APIs, IT teams can automate routine tasks, gain real-time insights, and streamline workflows. The system’s integration with VMware and DevOps tools such as Ansible and Terraform enables seamless automation for provisioning, monitoring, and management of your storage infrastructure, leading to reduced manual intervention, increased efficiency, and faster time-to-value.

Advanced Data Protection & Security

The PowerStore 1200T is equipped with a comprehensive suite of data protection and security features. It offers enterprise-grade encryption (both in-flight and at-rest) with optional self-encrypting drives (SED). Immutable snapshots ensure data integrity by protecting against ransomware and other malicious threats. Additionally, multi-factor authentication (MFA), secure boot, and role-based access control (RBAC) provide multiple layers of defense, ensuring that your sensitive data is always safeguarded.

Always-On Data Reduction

Data efficiency is maximized with always-on inline data reduction features, including hardware-assisted compression, global deduplication, and zero-detect technology. These techniques allow the PowerStore 1200T to reduce data footprints while maintaining high performance, ensuring that your storage capacity is utilized to its fullest potential. With a 5:1 reduction guarantee, the appliance helps you achieve significant cost savings by minimizing storage needs without compromising on speed.

Scale-Up and Scale-Out Flexibility

The PowerStore 1200T offers unmatched scalability to grow with your business. The scale-up design allows you to increase storage capacity by simply adding more drives to the base appliance, while the scale-out architecture enables you to add up to four appliances per cluster. This flexibility ensures that as your data grows, your storage infrastructure can expand seamlessly without the need for complete replacements or service interruptions, keeping your system future-ready.

Unified All-NVMe Architecture

PowerStore 1200T integrates end-to-end NVMe support across block, file, and vVols workloads, providing faster data access and reduced latency. With NVMe, the system delivers high throughput and faster response times, making it ideal for latency-sensitive applications and environments. This architecture helps eliminate bottlenecks while enabling consistent performance for a wide variety of modern workloads, from virtualized applications to large databases.

Onsite Service or Advanced Exchange Service is available following remote diagnosis, which is conducted by a Dell technician either online or by phone. Depending on the diagnosis, you may be required to access the system’s internal components and participate in one or more extended support sessions.

If the issue is covered under the Limited Hardware Warranty and cannot be resolved remotely, a technician and/or replacement part will be dispatched—typically within 1 to 2 business days after the remote diagnosis is completed. Customers must return the original hardware to Dell in accordance with the return policy provided.

Onsite Service is delivered by Dell Marketing L.P. and availability may vary by location. Advanced Exchange Service provides a replacement unit after remote troubleshooting and also requires the return of the original hardware. Service availability depends on the country.
